  I just want to take some time to wish everybody near and far a Happy Halloween. Final 1.9 Pre-Release available.

Jeb has circulated what they are calling the "Final Pre-Release" of the upcoming 1.9 patch. You can download this patch HERE. Minecraft 1.9 Pre-Release coming soon!

Notch has recently tweeted that he plans to release a pre-release of the 1.9 patch sometime in the week to ensure enough people can test it to catch as many remaining bugs as possible. There is no telling how long it's going to take server and mod communities to catch up to these changes. I can only speak for us here at Exiled, but we can't wait until all of these updates get done so we can get back to normal business. Jeb has also tweeted a sneak peak of the new inventory system, you can see some bottles in the inventory hinting at some possible potions. We Are Now Updated to Minecraft 1.8

Yesterday at approximately 7:00 PM EST, I update the server to Minecraft 1.8 and CB1185. I'm sure you guys have all been just itching to play on the server with 1.8. I've been busy grabbing all of the updated plugins and testing some of the older ones for compatibility. Some plugins have been released for the latest version, some have not been updated but are still compatible, some are not compatible, and some plugins have been removed in favor of similar ones. Do not be alarmed if you find any bugs here and there, just calmy report them to me via PM with the date, time, what you were doing, etc. Since 1.8 has drastically changed the game architecture, we will not be keeping our current map. 1.8 released, do not update!

Folks, it looks like Notch decided to go ahead and release Minecraft 1.8.  While we know this is an exciting time as the game hasn't had this degree of an overhaul in a long time we must ask you not to upgrade to 1.8 if you intend to play on our server. If you accidentally upgrade to 1.8 see Michael Lee's post HERE to roll yourself back to 1.7.3 The reason why we're not moving the server forward with 1.8 right away is because the creators of all of our vital plugins need time to update their software to match the 1.8 architecture. This takes a few days as they have to make the modifications, upload them, them we have to download and install them. Exiled Gaming: Updates and Competitions

It's been a while since the last post, mainly since the person responsible for the posting has fallen off the face of the earth. But luckily, I managed to climb my way back up and here I am. Town of the Week: SkyHold

Here at Exiled Gaming we like to show off what our players can do. So we'll be starting a weekly Town Spotlight, where we feature a town one of you manage. This week, we're taking a look at RushXScrub's Wild West themed town, so saddle on up and ride on over. Sky Hold is built within a desert biome, styled after an old fashioned Western Town, it's got a main street which is home to a few of the townspeople's humble abodes and a good ol' fashioned saloon complete with a poker table. Sky Hold is looking to become one of the largest towns on the server, with massive fort-like walls that expand well into the sandy plains. Reflections

If you've taken the time to read the server history, you'll know the story. A little over a year ago two men started up a Minecraft server off of a crappy computer. They were fantastic builders, creating the Admin Valley, the first structure I've ever seen in Minecraft. These two men, Knives and Phrixos, were dear friends to me at the time. We all came from the same environment that tossed us out after we fought for something we believed in, something we knew was right. A new Era.

The Last photo taken on the old map. Moments before shut down. As many you already know, we have been hard at work on Lee's test server building a new map and server design set up. And after a lot of tinkering and some heavy construction we are pleased to announce a new system for which we will be conducting ourselves this day forth on the server. Teleportation Changes.

Hello folks! After a brief discussion today on team speak with the other server staff, we have decided to implement a 15 second warm up timer for all teleportation commands. During this 15 warm up you cannot move, or take damage otherwise the timers resets and the teleportation is canceled. This effectively fully prevents people from abusing these commands in PVP. There is also a brief 5 minute cooldown for these commands to further prevent abuse by these two commands. PS. Advertising Video Contest!

We're looking for talented people to produce our server a video for advertising purposes. If you're talented in making flash or web videos and want to give it a shot please PM MasterKnives on the forums with a link to your submission. The video itself though must meet these requirements. Between 1 and 2 minutes. Must advertise structures built on our map. Must advertise some of our community highlights and features.
